How to exercise with a busy schedule…

At some point, most of us have faced the issue of having too little time to fit in everything we would like to do each day, often referred to as being time poor.

If you work full time, have children, are responsible for other people or all of the above, it can be confidently assumed that finding time for yourself can seem like an impossible task.

Winging it?

For a lot of us in this situation we fall down when trying to fit in exercise because instead of pre planning what to do in the small windows of time we may have over a week, we hope for the best. We may have the best intentions but without a plan in place it is all too easy to convince ourselves that we’re too busy to exercise, increasing our stress levels and thus the cycle continues each week.

Plan and prioritise

As I'm sure you’re already aware after reading this, the first part of the solution is to plan your week and look at the days / times most suitable to fit in your exercise and prioritise this time as best you can. This may mean getting up slightly earlier, using your lunch break at work; most of us get an hour if we’re lucky, or holding off watching our favourite TV series until our planned exercise is complete.

Don’t go in blind

The second part of the solution is having a plan of attack for your exercise so you can effectively get what you need to get done in what is possibly a narrow window of time. Now, you either are able to plan an effective workout and know what should be included to get the desired results either at home or in the gym, or you need to find a workout that is already structured and provides a time-efficient and enjoyable workout including both resistance and cardiovascular training!? Surely that's not possible to have all in one place… Well this is exactly where MegaBox Fitness comes in!

The MegaBox solution

At MegaBox your sessions are pre booked at a time that suits you… no waiting for or working around specific class timetables as the concept enables you to start your workout at any time during our opening hours. This allows you to pre plan when you want to book your sessions and it gives you the flexibility to come whenever suits your schedule best. And the best part is that you get an effective, full body workout in under 45 minutes so you don't need to find an hour and a half in your day to exercise effectively!

MegaBox Fitness also has the solution to the struggles a lot of people face with not knowing what to do when they do find time to exercise. As mentioned earlier this can have a big impact on your session time but also your attitude to fitting your exercise into a busy schedule. Well, we have done the legwork for you so to speak, with your entire session planned and ready for you to follow as soon as you get to the gym, eliminating the extra time it might take you to plan your exercise sessions or think what you need to do next! Arrive, follow the 42 minute guided circuit, leave. It's as simple as that!

Last but not least

After a good workout we will most probably find that we have forgotten the day's time stresses and feel positive about prioritising or fitting in our exercise. As we start to regularly release our daily tensions through movement and physical activity, we may find that this focus on a single activity, away from the usual pressures of the day, can help us remain calm, clear and focused on maintaining a consistent routine with better time management.
